93 Jane Parry

DECEMBER 2008

Thursday 13th I invited three good friends Cathey , Irene and June for an evening of easy going hospitality round the kitchen table.

My dishes have a blue and orange design on white, so I put them on a blue cloth to show up well. One full of clementines and the others with little stuffed red peppers and various olives We took our time picking at these nibbles and drinking some rather fine home-brewed beer. Then we had an old favourite standby, Armenian lamb casserole with a pilaff. Followed by cheese and biscuits and red wine. Beer then wine - that,s fine.

We had a lovely time and while I was out of the kitchen, the others had decided that we must do it again. So, we intend to have a dishinit evening once a month during the winter at each others houses, when we all turn up with our dishes to see what's cooking!

So, we started something - THE ALSAGER DISHINIT SOCIETY

and in MARCH 2008
Our dishes are still intact and much loved.
We just had our 4th dishinit do at June's and we shall keep it going next winter .
